I know that it's been too long since we've updated the blog. Check out lots of new datasets on this site and on the sister site, hdm.livestories.com, where you can also find stories created by our partners.
We're happy to share some good news! First is to announce that the George Gund Foundation has awarded us a grant that will enable us to continue operations for the coming year.
Secondly, we're thrilled to share the news that LiveStories, who provides the platform for our sister site (hdm.livestories.com), just received a $10,000,000 venture capital investment! These funds will enable them to take the product to the next level. But closer to home, LiveStories and the VC investors both recognized the value that Health Data Matters brings to LiveStories. As a result, we are discussing a partnership agreement that would enable us and LiveStories to maximize the value of our relationship. We welcome your thoughts on what that agreement might look like.
In addition, please note that a position has been posted for a full-time research assistant working with Dr. Scott Frank; one-half of the person's effort will go toward supporting Health Data Matters. From the Case Western Employment Listings page, search for position # 6174.
In the mean time, mark your calendars for:
August 31, Health Data Matters will be presenting at Northeast Ohio GIS Symposium
October 21-22, the Third Annual Cleveland Medical Hackathon. Watch for updates here.
Enjoy the rest of the summer!
