The Health Data Matters team of Scott Frank, Amy Sheon, Matthew Kucmanic and Alex Rothbaum have designed the Neighborhood Immersion for Compassion and Empathy Virtual Reality Simulation. Walk in the shoes of a family living in a segregated, distressed urban neighborhood to better understand how poverty and racism affect the opportunity to be healthy. The simulation takes about 20 minutes, plus we appreciate 5-10 additional minutes to provide feedback on the experience.
The simulation can be viewed through our VR headsets by appointment. We are now scheduling individuals and groups of health care providers (and their staff) for October.
